I hate writing (!)

It is true even if you do not believe me by considering how much I write. :) My ‘hate’ is not related with the content of writing but it stems from the condition that I have to limit each of my essays to approximately 300 words. This is a feeling of ‘hate’ which you get as a result of the hardship of achieving something you love a lot. Writing an essay of 1000 words is very easy. It gets harder when you have to shorten it to 300 words; then it may take hours to complete an essay.

It is said that the actual melody in music is within the notes that you do not play. The ones you play are for guidance only. Similarly I believe that the real theme in a writing is  within those words that you do not write. I need to explain myself with the minimum amount of words. This economy of words is also necessary since I do not want to take too much of your time and to bore you.

The same principles apply when we give information about our company to the potential partners. Preparing a document of 100 pages with a wide range of topics is really easier than preparing an effective document of 15 pages arranged with a marketing logic in view. While a quickly prepared presentation full of details could start to enslave you, it is very hard to prepare a presentation of your company that explains in simple terms the significant points so that it is easily understandable.

As Thomas Mann said: ”A writer is a person for whom writing is more difficult than it is for other people”.
