I was traveling. The phone rang. “I’m Anjelika Akbar, you sent me a letter.” I had to be a little late in responding to the voice at my ear. “Hello?” she said again. I gathered myself and said “Yes, yes … I sent that letter.” She hung up after receiving my confirmation saying, “I am waiting for you to talk about this topic, next week on Tuesday at 3 o’clock.”
The “topic” had actually started 2 months before that phone call. I also mentioned it in a previous blog: “…. my son asked me what he would inherit from me. ☺ When I told him I planned to consume all my worldly riches before I depart this earth, he demanded that I leave him my music, which I had composed over decades.”
My computer was full of compositions done over the years, but none of them were made into completed songs. I guess my son was forcing me to revive some of them. I accepted Emre’s request without much resistance.☺
After a month’s work, I decided on 8 pieces.
To be continued …
