9/11 and Sting

Couple of evenings ago I watched a video of Sting. The video explains how Sting prepares together with a group of selected musicians in his farm in Tuscany, Italy for a concert to be given on September 11, 2001. In the morning of the concert two planes crash into two buildings in New York. The group debates whether or not  to give the concert, and then decides to play some chosen pieces in memory of those who have died. The first song that they play is Fragile.

Also during the sales of company shares one can experience some unfathomable developments which are out of the control of the business owner. For example, an upper level manager in the company of the acquirer may wish to kill the project against the best interests of his company because he may think that the acquisition will weaken his position in the management. Understanding this situation quickly and determining the best way to approach that manager in the next meeting is vital for the success of the project.

Sometimes our life can be affected very much by incidents which are not within our control. The important point is being able to analyze these incidents from the right point of view and then to make the most appropriate decision on how to continue in our way.

If you would like to listen to Fragile performed on September 11, 2001 please click here.
