Children of tomorrow

Take me to the magic of the moment
On a glory night
Where the children of tomorrow dream away
In the wind of change

… words that flow into my ear from the TV behind me in my room as I work on my computer. The Scorpions are singing their Wind of Change.

“I follow the Moskva down to Gorky Park” the lyrics of this 1990 song continue.  I was lucky…

Yes… I was there as the world changed… I walked to the Gorky Park in Moscow… Paid the last visa at Check Point Charlie in Berlin…

Yes … I was there… as businesses transfered their means of communication from telexes to faxes and then to emails….

Yes I was there … as rooms full of computers became I-pads…

What has not changed in the meantime are people. Tools, systems, places changed but people did not. With all their beautiful and and not so beautiful characteristics.

Although we are consulting the owners of SME’s for selling their businesses, in reality we are marketing their “beauties” in the best light. Those who will understand those “beauties” are also people.

Yet it still feels good to listen to Scorpions, where the children of tomorrow dream away… in the wind of change.

You can listen to a special performance of Wind Of Change here, recorded together with Berliner Philharmoniker.

The oldie of the week: John Denver – Sunshine On My Shoulders (1971)
