Her name is Eleni. She doesn’t know me. Most probably she wouldn’t answer if I’d write to her. Why do I want to write to her? Very simple: I love her. Though if I’d meet her on the street, I’d not even remember the face of this Greek woman, who has been hitting me for years with her incredible music. I even composed a song for her as Thanks to K. (Her last name is Karaindrou). However, I cannot write to her. If I write to her… What would I say?
As you look at the market, you may see other companies, accomplishing incredible deeds. You may decide to take similar actions. Moreover, you may dream of being partners with them one day. However, once you reach the stage that you’d ask them to be your partner, you may not find it easy to proceed. How will you say it?
Starting from the right point and using the right approach, we would in reality see that I meet Eleni just as you come together with that company. Provided that our aims and expectations are similar to theirs.
Recently I visited a potential acquirer together with my client. “I couldn’t even dream of entering through the doors of this company,” my client said. Since we make preliminary discussions with approximately 100,000 companies each year to arrange such visits, we know that some dreams are realized.
With the right approach you can do almost anything. However, I don’t know if you can still keep your dreams intact once you meet your dream girl or boy. The real reason of my not writing to Eleni is this fear.
